CIU announces upcoming dates for ACM day courses
Does your club have officials and members interested in obtaining the Club & Institute Union's (CIU's) Award in Club Management (ACM) qualification?
If you have a minimum of 10 participants from your Club or a combination from Clubs in your surrounding area, the ACM course will come to you!
The three self-contained units will be delivered by Union lecturers over three Saturdays of your choice at your Club.
The course is aimed at people who are going to be sitting on club committees and occupying positions of authority within clubs.
It has been developed to ensure that candidates gain a thorough understanding of licensing laws and regulations relating to members’ clubs, as well as a whole host of other laws and regulations that govern the running of a club, including entertainment and the rules and regulations surrounding gaming machines in clubs.
The lectures are carried out by highly experienced lecturers from within the CIU (including, pictured above, left to right: Union Vice-President Ken Roberts CMD ACM, Union General Secretary Kenneth D Green CMD ACM, NEC Member Stephen Foster CMD ACM and NEC Member Geoff Blakeley CMD ACM) who lead the day sessions and can draw from their knowledge of the club scene to illustrate the key points.
There is no requirement to take the units in any particular order as each unit is self-contained.
