Black Sheep Brewery launches Burrow's Blonde
Yorkshire's Black Sheep Brewery has launched Burrow’s Blonde, brewed for Rugby League champion and inspiration to millions, Rob Burrow MBE, who lives with Motor Neurone Disease.
Black Sheep has partnered with The Good Racing Co., who aim to redefine horseracing as an all-inclusive sport that motivates and excites people, especially when racing for good causes. They began fundraising for Rob with a charity racehorse in his name, Burrow Seven. This has transformed into the Rob Burrow Racing Club, and has raised nearly £180,000 for charity so far.
To amplify this good work, and to support Rob and his family directly, Black Sheep has branded up its newest beer as Burrow’s Blonde.
Every pint or bottle sold will see 10p going to the Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust and the Rob Burrow Racing Club.
Rob – who enjoyed a glittering Rugby League career with Leeds Rhinos, England and Great Britain – and his family, along with Leeds Rhinos stars and representatives of The Good Racing Co. visited the brewery to launch the new beer.
