Passoã celebrates 40th with cocktail suggestions
Summer and cocktails go hand in hand, and fruit liqueur Passoã is gearing up for an exciting season as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Passoã offers a full-bodied sweetness balanced with a lively, zesty burst of flavour and its signature vibrant red colour.
It is a key ingredient in the UK’s most popular cocktail, the Pornstar Martini, originally created by Douglas Ankrah in 2002 using Passoã. Passoã also brings a passion fruit twist to classics such as margaritas, spritzes, mojitos, and sangria. It can also be enjoyed in a simple, refreshing mix with tonic, lemonade, or orange juice.
Pornstar Martini
- 40ml Passoã 30ml vodka
- 10ml vanilla syrup
- 15ml lime or lemon juice
- Pulp of 1 fresh passion fruit
Passoa Spritz
- 1 part soda water
- 2 parts Passoã
- 3 parts prosecco
- Glass: spritz glass
- Ice: Large cubes
- Garnish: lime wheel
Summer Spritz
- 40 ml Passoã Passionfruit Liqueur
- 20 ml orange juice
- 40 ml Prosecco
- 60 ml Soda water
- 1 passion fruit
Method:
- Fill spritz glass with cubed ice
- Add Passoã, orange juice, seeds from ½ passion fruit
- Stir briefly to mix
- Top with Prosecco & Soda water
- Give a gentle lift with the bar spoon
- Garnish - half passion fruit
