M&J Fresh Seafood and Brakes win Supplier of the Year Award

Sysco companies M&J Fresh Seafood and Brakes have again been recognised for their commitment to responsible seafood sourcing after being named MSC UK Foodservice Supplier of the Year at the 2026 MSC UK Awards.

The award, which M&J Fresh Seafood and Brakes have won for 12 of the past 13 years, marks another major achievement for the businesses and reinforces their long-standing leadership in helping foodservice operators source seafood from certified sustainable fisheries.

Both businesses are committed to supporting customers' sustainability ambitions through a broad range of MSC-certified seafood products, helping chefs and operators make responsible sourcing decisions without compromising on quality, consistency or choice. The recognition builds on Sysco GB's wider sustainability strategy and its commitment to securing the future of food through resilient and transparent supply chains.

The award also reflects the principles behind One Planet One Table, Sysco's sustainability-focused initiative. This is designed to help customers easily identify products supported by robust third-party certifications, including MSC, making it easier for operators to make informed sourcing decisions backed by recognised environmental and social standards. One Planet One Table brings together certified products across multiple categories and supports customers in meeting responsible sourcing commitments while building more resilient menus and supply chains.
