FA Walking Football Cup kicks through to Regional Finals
The local qualifying rounds of the 2026 Walking Football Cup, completed in August, sees teams now heading into the regional rounds during September and then the National Finals at St George's Park in October.
The FA Walking Football Cup is the official national cup competition for walking football teams in England. The tournament is organised by The Football Association in patnership with WalkingFootball.com, founded in 2016 to grow the sport, supporting players, clubs, organisers and fans.
Teams entered this year through County FA–run local heats running between May and 18 August 2026, competing against other sides in their area. The successful teams now progress to regional finals, before the top-performing teams from across the country advance to the National Finals.

Saturday, 5 September - South: Rectory Park, Middlesex
Sunday, 6 September - South-East: Parsloes Park, Dagenham
Saturday, 12 September - Midlands: Derby Racecourse
Sunday, 13 September - North-West: William Fosters, Wigan
Sunday, 20 September - South-West: Lockleaze Sports Centre
Sunday, 27 September - North-East: Washington, Sunderland
NATIONAL FINALS

The FA said:
" Following a year of collaboration, the partnership establishes a shared approach to supporting the game and creating a more consistent experience for players, coaches, referees and organisers across the country.
" The partnership will support the introduction of unified laws of the game from 2027, alongside a simpler process for affiliation, competition sanctioning, and player and referee registration.
" Walking Football continues to provide a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to enjoy football, stay active and connect with others. This new partnership is designed to help the format continue to thrive for years to come.
" The competition is structured to balance accessibility with competitive progression, ensuring teams of all levels can take part while still rewarding performance."

- Mixed 50+
- Mixed 60+
- Women 40+
- Women 50+
