Purpose of the role:

The Head Bartender leads the bar’s day‑to‑day operations, ensuring exceptional members and their guests service, high‑quality drinks, and smooth team performance. This role combines hands‑on bartending with leadership, training, stock control, and maintaining the overall atmosphere and standards of the bar.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver warm, attentive, and personalised service.
  • Prepare and serve a full range of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and non‑alcoholic drinks to a consistently high standard.
  • Manage stock levels, place orders, and monitor deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplier communication.
  • Contribute to cocktail menu creation and seasonal specials.
  • Supervise, motivate, and support bartenders and barbacks during service.
  • Train new staff on service standards, cocktail recipes, and responsible alcohol service

About you:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic food hygiene - level 1 & 2
  • Awareness of Licencing laws
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Proven experience as a senior bartender
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and bar techniques
