Noughty but alcohol free - dealcoholized wine
Many people are now balancing our alcohol intake more than ever. Whether it was the pandemic or the general increase in press coverage concerning the health and wellbeing, attitudes have changed towards alcohol. Clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels need to provide an answer for those looking to balance or cut out their alcohol.
British entrepreneur Amanda Thomson was successfully producing top quality no sugar Champagne and low sugar Prosecco for some years and recognised that the wine industry had not answered the question - 'what if someone wants a delicious glass of wine or Champagne but not the alcohol?’
At the time she made the decision to switch her attention to alcohol-free wine, there were few, if any quality options available. And so Noughty dealcoholized wine was born.
“It’s not about giving up alcohol,” says Thomson. “It’s about holding an alcohol-free option that doesn’t exclude you from the party or celebration. It helps us all avoid the frustration of having to justify why we’re not drinking in a group. And if it’s delicious, it’s easy to forget you’re not being bolstered by alcohol."
