Scotch-egg Gate revisited: substantial-meal rule to go

PM Boris Johnson now wants rules to be simplified when lockdown eases, and has indicated that there may not be a return to regional tiers.

The substantial meal rule was instigated alongside the introduction of the tier system, meaning that alcohol could be only be served with a substantial meal in certain areas.
